Comrades!
On October 27th thousands of people will take to the streets in NYC to
oppose the unjust and brutal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. As anarchists
we stand in complete solidarity with the working people of all nations and
deplore the horrors committed in our names upon the people of Iraq and
Afghanistan. We invite all anarchist, anti-capitalist, anti-authoritarian
forces to join together with our fellow workers in a Red and Black
contingent on October 27.

Where: Borden Avenue and 23rd Street, Long Island City. Take the 7 train to Hunters Point or the G to 21 Street. Then walk south down 21st street, follow the walkway underneath the BQE and over the railroad tracks. Then continue on to Borden Avenue.
What: Join the fight against sweatshops in Bushwick and Ridgewood and march with the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW), I.U. 460/640, and its supporters. The union will be distributing leaflets in Spanish and Chinese during the march to raise awareness among workers.
For the last six weeks, workers at a specialty food distributor in Brooklyn have been organizing with the IWW Food and Allied Workers Union(IU460/640) to improve the horrible conditions in their workplace. Faced with working conditions that are reminiscent of 1916 when the shop began its business, these workers receive no overtime pay while routinely working 50 to 60 plus hours a week, enjoy no paid leave of any kind, and are routinely sent home without pay for minor infractions. Tired of this abuse, the workers have put aside their fears of retaliation and have chosen to fight back! The workers have organized with the IWW, and there's now an impressive union majority among the 25 workers at the shop. The IWW is asking all members and supporters to come out and support our newest shop as they confront their boss this Monday. We will be maintaining a picket all day to support the workers and to show the boss the strength of our solidarity.
Action Alert: March & Picket to demand Justice for fired IWW* Warehouse workers

***PARADE WITHOUT A PERMIT!***
An Un-Permitted Queer Parade in Honor of Christine Quinn
THURSDAY, APRIL 19th @ 4PM
City Hall, NYC
In February, 2007, the NYPD published new regulations attacking freedom of
assembly in New York City, unilaterally amending the definition of a
"parade." ANY public gathering of 50 or more people - whether on foot,
bicycle, or rollerskates - now requires a "permit" from the NYPD. And,
just as the police have the power to grant permits, they also have the
power to deny them.
