On Friday, Nov. 2 at 6:30pm, author Bill Weinberg joins us for the discussion of his book "Homage to Chiapas: The New Indigenous Struggles in Mexico"

"Bill Weinberg's comprehensive yet readable page-turner brilliantly locates the Zapatista movement in its historical and social context. Based on outstanding research as well as first-hand knowledge, this excellent book is indispensable for a full understanding of the uprising, as well as movements against 'free trade' internationally." … Murray Bookchin, author of The Ecology of Freedom

The NYMAA Reading Group is open to all those interested in studying anarchism-- while some participants have read widely in anarchist theory and history, no prior knowledge of anarchism is expected. We have been meeting monthly since November '06 and select readings collectively.
