¡Ya Basta! No Slave Wages in our Communities!

When: 9:00AM on Saturday, September 15.

Where: Corner of Bogart St. and Thames St. in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The march begins at Handyfat Trading and ends at EZ-Supply/Sunrise Plus Corp., where 20 union workers were illegally fired in late December, 2006.

Directions: Take the L train to the Morgan stop. Walk south two blocks on Morgan to Thames St. Take a right on Thames St. and walk to the end of the block where Thames and Bogart St. meet.

Workers in Bushwick, Ridgewood and East Williamsburg are saying no to slave-wage exploitation! Sick of working 60+ hours each week for sub-minimum wage and no overtime, workers in the food distribution industry have formed a union with the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW). The IWW Food and Allied Workers Union, IU 460/640, is calling for a march through Bushwick and Ridgewood to bring sweatshop conditions in the food distribution industry to the public eye and encourage workers to join the fight against these unscrupulous bosses. Join the strikers from EZ-Supply/Sunrise Plus Corp. and Handyfat Trading, other IWW unionists, and members of Trabajadores en Acción, Million Worker March Movement, Teamsters Local 805, and others to demand justice!

An Injury to One is an Injury to All!
