"A New Political Alignment for Anarchism"

LIBERTARIAN BOOK CLUB / ANARCHIST FORUM

-------------------------->"PERMA-REVOLUTION">>>>>> A New Political Alignment for Anarchism The February Anarchist Forum >>>>On Tuesday, February 13, at 7:30pm, the Libertarian Book Club's
Anarchist Forum will present a panel with members of both the Curious
George Brigade (including Smokey) and the Spring to Action Collective. They will discuss the role of Permaculture in the anarchist movement, how Katrina-like crises may be the new mobilization and why anarchists should be preparing for a crisis. The decline of the anti-globalization movement in the US and the amazing surge of support by anarchists after the devastation of hurricane Katrina suggest a new political and tactical alignment is possible in North America. Anarchists need to work with the peak oil, permaculture and bioregional communities to better prepare
ourselves for the new alignment that the response to Katrina has
suggested.” Smokey from the Curious George Brigade will be facilitating a discussion on Permaculture, Insurrectory Mutual Aid, Emergencies and New Directions for Anarchism in North America. The discussion is open to all attending.

>>>>>The event will take place at the Brecht Forum, 451 West Street,
