Pizza and Peace - Tuesday 1/30 7:00 PM. March 19 Peace Actions Coalition Planning Meeting
Meet with representatives of other New York peace groups and activists planning a weekend of coordinated antiwar actions and events to protest the start of the 5th year of the Iraq War. We are working on our own actions - a large-scale Wall Street civil disobedience, a weekend of events and presentations at Judson Memorial Church, a bike for peace, an outdoor yoga meditation for peace, peace-themed musical programs at different venues - as well as coordinating and publicizing the actions of other groups.
We will consider any and all suggestions for weekend antiwar events, and get progress reports from action and operational working groups.
The millions that went into the streets on February 15, 2003 need to make themselves heard again - now joined by the millions more that have come to oppose the war since it began four long years ago. We are looking for new ideas and new blood -- novel actions that will both give voice to New York City's diverse communities as well as capture the imagination of a new generation of protestors.

We support public displays of popular power that demonstrate the majority opposition to the invasion and occupation of Iraq;
We demand our representatives in Congress stop funding the war now - and we hold them accountable for their record to date;
We call for immediate and effective action against a military-industrial complex which profits from a war paid for with the blood of the Iraqi and American peoples;
We support all troops refusing to kill or die in this immoral and illegal war based on lies.
