”REVOLUTION BACKWARDS: Stumbling towards a New Paradigm”

Anarchist Scholar,David Graeber, searches for a new Revolutionary Model

On Tuesday, October 10, at 7:30pm, the Libertarian Book Club's Anarchist Forum will present David Graeber, Yale Anthropology Professor. David of course has been in the news lately, as Yale loudly denies that his contract had not been renewed because he is an anarchist. So David has been out there being interviewed by Charlie Rose and getting his wikipedia entry. However, David will rather be speaking at the forum about the thoughts in his mind, as we shift into the 21st century, about what will be the new paradigm for changing a world that still needs a revolution. His research in Madagascar may make some contribution to what he has to say but like the rest of us he is looking at the world swinging around us and he has noted the various anarchist groups seeking new ways of living. So after David offers us his current vision of a new paradigm, he will be open to an extensive open discussion with the audience on their thoughts on this developing vision.

A few of us would like to postpone the Queer WG group meeting that was originally planned for Wednesday. Brad, events commemorating his life and death, and the increased repression against the people of Oaxaca are just too much on peoples' minds right now.
